President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Monday night, April 21, 2025, following a two-week working visit to Europe. His aircraft landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at approximately 9:50 PM.The President was received by top government officials including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu; and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
While in Paris, President Tinubu held a high-level meeting with the United States Department of State’s Senior Advisor for Africa, Massad Boulos. The discussions centered on strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing regional security, and promoting sustainable economic development across the African continent.
The meeting also explored collaborative efforts to achieve lasting peace in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with a focus on multilateral cooperation and the involvement of regional stakeholders.
President Tinubu departed Nigeria for France on April 2, 2025, and briefly extended his trip to London over the weekend before returning home.
