The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is dead.
NigeriaNews learnt he passed away in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, at the age of 90.
His death came just two days after his 90th birthday and exactly one year after he ascended the throne.
Born on July 5, 1935, Oba Olakulehin became the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland following the passing of his predecessor, Oba (Dr.) Moshood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, who died at the age of 81 years on March 14, 2024. He was formally presented with the staff of office by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on July 12, 2024.
