The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a total revenue collection of ₦1.751 trillion for the first quarter of 2025, surpassing its projected target for the period.
Comptroller-General Bashir Adeniyi disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday. He said the achievement reflects the agency’s sustained efforts to boost revenue and strengthen border enforcement.
“I am pleased to report ₦1.751 trillion revenue collection in the first quarter of 2025,” Adeniyi said, adding that “the public has the right to know what is happening in the Nigeria Customs.”
In addition to revenue performance, the Customs Service recorded 201 seizures valued at ₦7.7 billion within the same quarter, as part of ongoing anti-smuggling operations across the country.
