The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a man identified as Innocent Chukwuma in Oyigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for allegedly calling for a military coup through his social media account.
Sources said Chukwuma was tracked and apprehended by DSS operatives after he used his X (formerly Twitter) handle, “@TheAgroman,” to call for the overthrow of Nigeria’s democratically elected government.
In a series of posts on the platform, he reportedly wrote:
“A coup in Nigeria is needed. Dispose of APC, suspend the Nigerian Government, and join the AES. That is all we need now.
“It will happen eventually. Nigerians, the military needs your support now! Only them can save this country.
“The bastard in Aso Rock has basically sold this country to the West, and they run our intelligence apparatus. Only the military can reset this country. Support them.”
His X account has since been suspended for violating X Corp’s community rules.
A security source confirmed that the suspect is cooperating with DSS investigators as the agency continues its probe into the matter.
