
Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Thursday.
The award-winning singer shared photos from the high-profile meeting on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday, October 23, 2025, Davido expressed his delight.
“It was an honour meeting #EmmanuelMacron and sharing our visions for a better world,” Davido wrote.

The meeting, which took place on October 23, 2025, saw the Nigerian icon accompanied by his long-time associate and nightlife entrepreneur Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, and his manager, Asa Asika.

While Davido did not reveal the full details of their conversation, the encounter is believed to highlight Macron’s continued interest in Africa’s booming creative and entertainment industries. It also reaffirms the French government’s efforts to deepen cultural diplomacy with Nigeria, a country that has become a global powerhouse in music, film, and fashion.
The visit comes barely a week after Lagos hosted the Création Africa Forum, an event backed by the French government that showcased some of Africa’s most promising talents in digital fashion, animation, gaming, and immersive technologies.
