The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has implemented a fresh reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, slashing rates by ₦15 per litre nationwide. The updated prices, which now range from ₦875 to ₦905 per litre, were officially announced through the refinery’s social media handles on Thursday.
This adjustment affects all stations operated by major marketing partners affiliated with the refinery, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.
Previously, petrol prices stood at ₦890 per litre in Lagos and ₦920 in the North-East and South-South regions. With the new pricing regime, the updated breakdown is as follows: Lagos: ₦875, South-West: ₦885, North-West & Central: ₦895, South-South: ₦905, South-East: ₦905, and North-East: ₦905.
In addition to announcing the new prices, the company emphasized its commitment to product quality and environmental responsibility, stating:
“Our quality petrol and diesel are refined for better engine performance and are environmentally friendly,” the refinery said in the notice.
Consumers have been advised to purchase fuel exclusively from the refinery’s authorized partner outlets to ensure they benefit from the new pricing. The company also urged the public to report any stations failing to comply with the revised rates via its hotline numbers: +234 707 470 2099 and +234 707 470 2100.
