The remains of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, arrived at the Umar Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina State on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
President Bola Tinubu led a federal government delegation to receive the late leader’s body, which was transported aboard a presidential aircraft. The solemn moment was marked by the presence of governors, ministers, members of the National Assembly, and other senior government officials who gathered at the airport to pay their respects.
Buhari, who passed away on Sunday in London, is to be laid to rest in his hometown of Daura later today, in line with Islamic rites.
