The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) took place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria, celebrating the most outstanding achievements in African film, television, and digital content from the past year. As one of the continent’s most prestigious entertainment honors, the AMVCAs spotlight the talents shaping African storytelling, with entries this year drawn from works released between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
Organized by MultiChoice and Africa Magic, the AMVCA has grown into a cultural mainstay in Africa’s creative calendar. Beyond the glitz and glamour, it has become a powerful platform for recognizing the industry’s top directors, actors, screenwriters, content creators, and production crews. This year, Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors emerged as a standout, clinching multiple awards including Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, and Best Music/Score.
The event also featured Cultural Day festivities and red carpet moments, with reality TV stars Liquorose and Prince Nelson Enwerem taking home N1 million each for winning Best Dressed Female and Male.
